Five Months Old...

And what a great month it was!  Miss Leighton has developed such a great personality.  If you could bottle that stuff and sell it, we would buy it by the truck loads.  We are having a blast with her!  Even her teachers tell us often how happy and sweet she is.  Here is our precious girl on her five-month birthday... 

This month has found us pretty busy - my sister came home for the summer at the beginning of the month, we baptized Leighton, we celebrated Father's Day in POC, we had yet another wedding, and we went back to POC for the 4th of July.  Needless to say, the little one has become quite the traveler.  But, she has learned that road trips make for some pretty good naps, so she usually sleeps while we're on the road.  No complaints here.

Other than the great feet discovery, there weren't many new things this month.  We've continued with the solid foods, and we alternate between rice cereal and oatmeal with bananas.  We plan to start fruits and veggies soon, but I have high hopes of making my own baby food.  If only I could find the time.

I can't feel any teeth yet, but I think we're getting pretty close.  Of course, the drool is in full effect, and everything goes straight to the mouth.

As you can see, we no longer sit still for our monthly photo shoots.  Little Missy is ready to GO...

It's pretty difficult to take pictures these days because she wants to grab/eat the camera, but we do the best we can.

I'm not sure how it's possible... but this time next month, she will be half way to a year old.  Happy five months, baby girl!  We love you!
